On the weekend of 6th & 7th of October the club will be having a track building session at Turner Hill in Dwellingup. This is one of the best tracks and the upgrades will help to remove some of the old rutted out sections and also some part of the step fire road climb out the back. The changes have been approved by DEC and Clinton from DEC will be joining us for part of the weekend to watch over proceedings.
Track building legend Jamie Campbell is the mastermind behind the changes so it is sure to be a fun track.
I am informed that there is now a toilet at Turner Hill as well as plans for a bigger neater car park. Some people will be camping over night so that they can enjoy as muhc trail building and riding as possible.
Please let me know if you can make the weekend as the more helpers we have the more we can get done.
John

Turner hill working bee details
Hi all
The nuts and bolts of it all are there is 8 new trail sections approved for construction, each section has been ranked in order of priority. The working bee will be tackling 1 short section of downhill (approx 100mtrs) 1 mediam downhill section (approx 300mtrs) and 1 long climb section (approx 600mtrs). Simon will be bringing along a machine to aid in the construction, but still plenty to be done by hand.
The new sections will include some tight and technical (but fun!), numerous jumps for most skill levels and generally some new sweet single track. The new climb will be both open and technical (to keep everybody happy! without installing a chair lift of course).
We are looking to have the majority of volunteers for Sunday, but if you are keen on learning about trail building and maintenance then we would love to see you there on the Saturday. This is a great oportunity to show DEC that we are willing to get our hands dirty and fix our existing trails for the future of mountain biking.
What to bring : A shovel, rake, good gloves and old clothes plus of coures your faithfull steed
Look forward to working with you
Jamie Campbell
