OK, now we can insert images into our posts.
The club doesn't have a huge amount of disk space or monthly bandwidth, so take it easy! Remember, you can also use something like photobucket to actually store your photos.
Step 1 Attach a file.
You will see a heading File attachments under the area where you type your post. Clicking on this will open it and then you can Browse... to locate a file on your computer and then Attach it.
Maximum file size is 5Mb.
Step 2 Link to it in your post.
You can embed the image into your post. At the point where you want the image to appear, type [ inline:1 ] -- without the spaces (I had to use spaces to stop it from trying to turn that text into a link). If you had attached 2 images, you would use [ inline:2 ] to make the second one appear, and so on.
See:

It's easy :)
Notes
You can attach any type of file. Only images will be embedded via the inline tag. Use the file tag for other file types to create a link to your attachment, so that people can download it. You can make the link nice by typing [ file:1=This is the text I want in the link ]
An alternative to using these inline tags is to tick the List checkbox under File attachments. This will create the link for you, at the bottom of your post.
You can see these hints whenever you are creating a post by clicking the Input format<./code> heading. It contains links to tips.

problems
For no particularly good reason, you can only attach a file when you create a post, and not when you are replying to one. I'll see what I can do about this...
As a side effect, avatars have stopped working. Something is broken, but I'll figure it out eventually.
I tried but failed. Created
I tried but failed. Created a new topic called Gibb River Road Challenge and attached a file but the file does not seem to want to open. It says there is over 400kb of file but can't find it. I clicked the list check box but still nothing.
Any ideas?
Mike.
