Hi, just arrived in Perth yesterday from Alice Springs. Mostly done XC riding. Do shift work, so often have some week days off. Be keen to go riding if anyones free to get to know the local tracks. 2-3 hr ride would be great. And have a week free from fri 25th July...

New to WA

I am moving from the ACT in the next couple of months to either Perth or Fremantle. I am fairly new to mountian biking having been a 'roadie' for many years riding about 300kms a week. Two months ago I attended a course for women to introduce us to the joys of MB. I am now addicted and go on a ride every weekend with a bunch of other women. I am hoping to find a similiar group of like minded gals in WA. I have not raced and probably not interested but love being challenged each week to get better on single track, fire trails etc. We have some amazing natural trails here in the ACT but also 2 fantastic organised world class tracks which are free for the public to use.
I thought it might be a good way to get to know people in WA and to keep learning. Can anyone tell me how accessible tracks etc are in the Perth Fremantle areas? I have raised my kids and am 46 going on 26! and looking for an adventure in your beautiful state for a couple of years :-)
