Your Welcome WA Mtb Racers! Yes, that's right, a joint last ditch effort, has been put together by the PMBC Committee members with support from Peel Districts MBC to save the Welli-Mills State Round. There will be a sausage sizzle so you need to e-mail me to get numbers for food: dh[at]perthmtb.com

It will be a collaborative effort with PDMBC and if you want to ride on Sunday 31st August they will be hosting a PDMBC club rd on the track. The State Rd is still scheduled for Sat 13th & Sun 14th Sept.

Police Commissioner’s Mountain Bike Challenge for Charity

This Father’s Day presents a great opportunity for bicycle enthusiasts and the community to ride for charity, through Perth’s beautiful foothills in spring, along the historic Kep Track.

WA Police are hoping to attract many participants to help raise money for Camp Quality with a small portion of funds going to Police Legacy. All community members, mountain bike enthusiasts and associations along with police personnel are encouraged to join in.

Participants have four different ride options ranging from 15km through to 84km.

The shortest ride takes participants to Mundaring Weir, while the longer routes offer rides to Lake Leschenaultia or Bakers Hill and return. There is even one option that starts in Northam and finishes with the other rides in Mundaring.

Carine/Cottesloe Cycles 4X/SX at Three Chillies Farm 17-8-08

G'day to all your 4X racers out there it's race time at the Farm. The one and only 4X race at the Farm is on this weekend. I have spent probable 40hrs reshaping the bottom section of the track for this race. It is the best and flowest that it has ever been.
A big thanks to Carine/Cottesloe Cycles for supporting this event.
Thanks to all the people that helped to get the whole track ready for racing.
Looking at the weather report it looks like the weather is going to be fine Yee Ha. The track is going to be slippery though with a fair bit loose dirt over hard pack. High Rollers would be a good tyre choice :-)
A large part of the track makes up one of the 3 track challenge tracks so racing this event will give you practice for 3 Track Challenge Race.
We will have food and drink avalible on the day.

OK into the details.
There will be no practice on Saturday sorry.
Sunday, Rego open at 8am the track will be open at 8.15am for practice for about 3hrs. Then into racing.

Club Race #4 at Jarrahdale 10th August

The XC Club Race #4 will be held at Langford Park Jarrahdale. Langford Park is on Nettleton Road and is about 45 minutes from the cetnre of Perth. You can either go down the South West Highway and turn left into Nettleton Road in Byfor just next to the Caltex Service Station and then follow Nettleton Rd for about 14kms and turn right soon after crossing the train tracks. Or option number two is to go downt he freeway to Mundijong Road and turn left on to Mundijong rd. Take it all the way to the end and turn right onto the south west highway and then immediately left on to Jarrahdale Rd. Follwo this up the hill and turn left into Nettleton Rd just after you have driven up the hill. Drive along for about 2kms and turn left into Langford Park.

The race will start and finsih from the gazebo in the top carpark. To get there turn left at the roundabout and follow the road all the way around. It will be sign posted on Sunday. I will be marking the track out on Thursday afternoon.
