Perth Mountain Bike Club

Me and my boyfriend (WC-Rider) are thinking to comming over during the european winterseason.
For organising everything, would you guys even recommend Australia as a preparing for the Worldcup season? I mean, are there any good tracks, downhill / 4x and even pumptracks? we would propably be located around Perth at first and then see where we should go.
Have you competitions during November - April? I couldn't find a good internet side with a agenda of the races.
Or would it even be better to go to NZ?
The Worldchampionships are in Canberra next year, but is there also something like a bikepark?
