Gday all.
I am new to the sport and have been reading some old posts about the trails from the Kalamunda Coles carpark, namely the 'Single track' and 'Cobwebs'.
I am keen to explore these tracks, as i have only done limited offroad riding. Also living in High Wycombe it is just up the road! The beginners ride from months ago would have been great, but was wondering if there are any resources available showing where to go, or is it more of something u have to explore and learn ya way around? I do have a handheld GPS, so is it advisable to just wing it??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, if you've got a GPS -
Hey, if you've got a GPS - and know how to use it (Hi Carney!) - by all means go exploring! Beginner/exploritory rides seem to be thin on the ground, and there are no real resources for detailing the trails in the area as they are not strictly officially sanctioned trails.
Perhaps post any rides you plan to do in the Beginners section of the Organise a Ride forum, and before long you may grow a network of similarly experienced riders.
my gps looks good and I know
my gps looks good and I know it can do a lot of things maxfacta that is enough for me.
Another place you could go for a really basic exploration ride is Jorgenson Park in Kalamunda. Just link all the trails together between the old golf course and it can create a good beginner ride.
We will have a series of midweek rides at the Goatfarm in late Feb and March that will give you an opportunity to meet others who may be interested in joining in on your rides.
thanks for your replies
