Entering Races

I have loaded up the XC and DH entry forms to the menu at left.

At the last Committee meeting, it was decided to make all events pre-rego only - EXCEPT for the first two club races in XC and DH. I am currently working with an online rego service to get up the next four events and will post more details when it is available - it may not be done in time for the first XC race. In the meantime, download the entry forms and bring to the race.

Pre-rego will be either via the online service or by mailing in an entry form with cheque or money order to PO Box 3434, Midland Post Shop, 6056 and you can pick up your plates on the day. The online service will also have the option of paying for your club membership along with your race fee, but you will still have to bring the form to the race (or mail it in) as the paper form has to be sent off to MTBA.

Online and mail entries will close at midnight on the Friday before the race.

Main reason for going pre-rego is that it reduces the need for volunteers on the day and the stress of those doing the timing. It will mean that races can start a lot earlier as all rider details will be pre-loaded into the timing spreadsheet and thus only 1/2hr is needed for plate collection, so we can all get home earlier. It also means no amounts of cash being held at the event or needing to be banked.

For anyone who does not like the mandatory pre-rego, I look forward to you volunteering to help with registration at all events and taking time on Monday to bank the cash :)

Pre-Rego Rocks!

Yay for pre-rego! I'm in favour :-)

Can I use the same plate for both DH and XC this year?

No there will be specific DH

No there will be specific DH and XC plates as the number ranges will be matched to classes. But, the plates will be state plates and all WAMBA clubs have agreed to use the same plates, so you will only need one DH plate and one XC plate for all events.

Entering races

What about day licences? will they still be available on the day

For the first two club

For the first two club races, yes, day licences will be available. Online entries will include option for day licences. I will add a day licence form to the entry forms for those mailing in pre-rego entries (knew I forgot something).

so there will be NO pre rego

so there will be NO pre rego after the 1st 2 races?

Refer to the first sentence in the second paragraph of the original post ......

There will be no ON DAY rego

There will be no ON DAY rego after the first two CLUB races

1st DH state round at Nannup on 22 April will be pre-rego ONLY

If anyone wants to mail in entries and pay via internet banking, private message me and I can send you the details.

so all this means we carnt

so all this means we carnt register on practice day it has to be done before for all state rounds

I'll leave that one to the

I'll leave that one to the DH vice president, Bryn, as it will depend on whether he can source someone to sit around and take regos plus enter those into the timing spreadsheet on the Sun morning.

im all for pre rego but i

im all for pre rego but i can see that people will be unabe to race because of it.

Pre Rego

There will unlikely be any on day rego, especially for Nannup. If you are committed to making the trip all the way down there to race then something as simple as pre rego shouldn't really be a problem for anyone. However, I wouldn't like to see anyone go all the way down there and not be able to race if they simply weren't aware. At the same time we have given everyone plenty of notice so there really shouldn' be any excuses. If you really can't manage this for some reason contact someone at the club and we can try to make other arrangements.

Thanks
Bryn
